The purpose of the PHTLS course is to strengthen the knowledge and skills applied in the prehospital setting, thereby ensuring the best possible conditions for trauma patients in terms of survival and long-term outcome.
The PHTLS programme continuously develops and adapts in accordance with advances and research within the field of trauma care, and it is now a mandatory part of the education for ambulance personnel.
