QUALIFICATIONS FRAMEWORK FOR LIFELONG LEARNING
In 2014, the Danish Defence decided that all future education and training programmes would be described using the same structure and standards as those applied in civilian schools and educational institutions.
The new standard is called the Qualifications Framework for Lifelong Learning, commonly referred to simply as the Qualifications Framework. By mid-2017, this standard was to be fully implemented throughout the Danish Defence.
WHAT IS THE QUALIFICATIONS FRAMEWORK?
The Qualifications Framework provides an overall overview of all publicly recognised education programmes in Denmark and indicates how they relate to each other in terms of level.
There are eight levels in the framework (1–8), covering everything from the 9th grade of primary school to PhD programmes.
The purpose of the Qualifications Framework is to promote lifelong learning and mobility by:
Creating greater transparency and clarity in the Danish education system and making it easier to understand the pathways to obtaining educational certificates and degrees.
Providing a better basis for mutual recognition of education programmes, both nationally and internationally.
The official website for the Qualifications Framework can be found at: kvalifikationsrammen.dk.
On the Defence intranet, you can find documents related to training descriptions and learning plans. As reserve personnel supporting FSK-CSS with teaching, you can be provided with working documents within the framework.
