If you are permanently employed in the Danish Defence and wish to become a Medic, you can complete the joint-service Medic training at the Center for Health and Medical Service Education in Åbyhøj.
The Medic programme is a joint-service medical training course that builds on the joint-service Junior Medic training from the Army or the Navy. Admission to the Medic programme therefore requires that you are an experienced Junior Medic and that you are permanently employed in a Defence unit that has Medics in its organisation, or that you are affiliated with the Defence Medical Command (FSK).
YOUR COMPETENCIES AFTER COMPLETING THE COURSE
Through the training programme, you acquire the knowledge, skills, and competencies needed to safeguard the health of soldiers in cooperation with other medical and/or healthcare personnel.
After completing the course, you will be able to serve as SANIT on Navy vessels, as a treatment provider in Army ambulances, or at ROLE 1. Furthermore, the Medic course is part of the SAR Medical Assistant training programme in the Air Force.
